Megan Vandervort (she/her)
Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers

SEAONC SE3 VICE CHAIR, SYMPOSIUM COORDINATOR

Megan Vandervort is a structural engineer with Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers and has been with the firm for four years. She works on a mix of commercial, residential, and existing buildings out of the California branch office. Megan currently chairs Martin/Martin’s JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee, leading new initiatives and outreach efforts across the company. As someone who discovered structural engineering through a high school outreach program, she is passionate about giving back, improving advocacy, and fostering inclusion within the industry.

SEAONC SE3 CHAIR, SYMPOSIUM COORDINATOR​

Claire Leader graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2021 with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and now works at Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers in Marin County. Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending quality time with family, friends, and dogs. Passionate about fostering a more inclusive and supportive engineering community, Claire volunteers with several professional organization committees focused on education, retention, and broadening participation in the field.​

Brenna Marcoux (she/her)
Forell | Elsesser
SEAONC SE3 BOARD LIAISON

Brenna Marcoux is a Senior Engineer at Forell | Elsesser Engineers where she works on a variety of new and retrofit projects. She is on the Board of Directors of SEAONC and is currently serving as the association’s Treasurer. Brenna has been involved in the SEAONC SE3 committee for eight years and served as co-chair in 2019-2020. She is also involved in the SEI Sustainability Committee in the education and outreach working group. She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in structural engineering; and sustainable structural design.

Annie Helmes (she/her)
Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers
BREAKOUT SESSION LEAD

Annie Helmes is an EIT I at Martin/Martin, Inc. Graduating from UW-Madison (BS) and Stanford University (MS), she is now an active member of the greater structural engineering community. Locally, she serves as the historian for SEAONC’s Young Member Forum and is an active member of SE3. She is also involved in San Francisco’s Build Out Alliance chapter, a nonprofit for the LGBT community within the construction industry. She is passionate about advocating for young members to have a stronger voice in the structural engineering world.

Mason Moritz (he/him)
Holmes
BREAKOUT SESSION LEAD

Mason Moritz is a Structural Designer at Holmes US with a BS from UC Berkeley and a Master's from the SAHC program at the University of Minho and Czech Technical University, focusing on analysis for conservation of architectural heritage. He is passionate about preserving cultural expression in the built environment while advancing diversity initiatives through his work with Holmes' DEI Action Group and several SEAONC committees. He is committed to advocating for underrepresented groups and creating pathways to success through mentorship and inclusive community building.

Degenkolb Engineers
SYMPOSIUM GRAPHICS LEAD

Priya Helle graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and from UC San Diego in 2019 with a M.S. in Structural Engineering. She works as a designer in Degenkolb' s Oakland office. When not working on a variety of education and healthcare buildings, she can be found sketching, painting, or spending time with family and friends. She is passionate about mentorship and creating inclusive spaces within the engineering community.
