Mentorship Program Task Group

Group Leaders: Brenna Marcoux, Sarah Sullivan ​
Group Members: Ally Jabuka-Goodwin, Samantha Walker, Zahraa Saiyed, Natalie Tse, Elide Pantoli, Neelima Tapata, Faith Silva and Tim Hart (Advisor), Tiffany Hwang (Advisor)
Mission Statement: The main goal of the SE3 Mentorship Program is to provide the resources needed for entry-level structural engineers to thrive in our profession. These resources will aim to bridge the gap between career stages, develop professional networks, and examine topics related to the advancement and retention of engineers within the structural engineering profession. Such topics include work-life balance, gender equity, employee engagement, and time management. The Mentorship Program hopes to organize several events per year with these goals in mind.

Goals:
  1. Create a mentorship program and roll out by the end of 2017
  2. Define mentoring and setting the expectations
  3. Recruiting and training mentors and mentees
  4. Organize events to support and rollout the mentorship program
  5. Measuring and evaluating results
