SEAONC SE3 Parenting Charrette

An interactive dinner discussion about juggling parenting and your career
Much as design charrettes facilitate a space for project stakeholders to determine the best path forward, this event will provide a space for participants to interact with their peers and facilitators with relevant parenting experience to determine how to best navigate being a parent while moving their career forward. Participants will have the opportunity to connect, learn, and share insights in one of four focus groups: 1) Expectant and Future Parents, 2) New Parents, 3) Parents with Older Kids (1st to 12th Grade), and 4) Firm Leaders or Project Managers, regardless of parental status, who will focus on how to support parents and caregivers on their staff. This event is intended for professionals of all experience levels, including both working parents and those who do not currently have children but are considering becoming parents. We hope that participants will share some of their personal experiences and strategies for navigating a career while parenting and, in doing so, build community with other working parents in our industry.
