General Information

Q: Where is the event taking place?
A: The event will be held at the David Brower Center, located at 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704. The venue is easily accessible by public transportation and offers limited parking nearby. See our travel page for more information.

Q: What time does the event start and end?
A: The official event start time is 12pm. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to account for check in and arrival. The final session concludes at 5:40pm and is followed by a happy hour until 6:30pm.

Q: Who should attend?
A: All AEC professionals and students are encouraged to attend, including engineers, engineering managers, business owners, aspiring leaders, human resources professionals, architects, contractors, and those interested in engagement and equity within the structural engineering profession.

Tickets & Registration

Q: What is included with the registration fee?
A: General registration includes the symposium on May 15th and the networking happy hour after the symposium.

Q: How do I register?
A: You can purchase tickets and see sponsorship opportunities on the SEAONC website, here.

Q: What is the refund policy?
​A: Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee. Please contact us at [email protected] if you need assistance with a ticket transfer.

Q: What factors into ticket cost?
A: Our ticket costs depend on many factors including, but not limited to: venue, catering, rentals, guest speaker(s), and event materials. This event is organized by SEAONC SE3, which is a volunteer-based committee of structural engineering professionals and affiliated industry professionals. We use sponsorship to offset costs for attendees and provide the services we need for the event. Please visit the SEAONC website for sponsorship opportunities.

Event Logistics

Q: Will food and beverages be provided?
A: Refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the event. Alcoholic beverages will be available for adults 21+ during the post-event happy hour, as well as hot appetizers.

Q: What should I bring?
A: We recommend bringing a tablet or notebook, writing utensils, and reusable water bottle. Be sure to have your ticket confirmation email on hand (digital or printed).

Q: What should I wear?
A: We recommend "smart casual" or "business casual" attire. This is what many people would typically wear to the office.

Q: Is the venue accessible?
A: The main floor, which includes the Lobby, Theater, Hazel Wolf Gallery, Kinzie conference room, and public restrooms is fully compliant with ADA regulations. The second floor Tamalpais room and Terrace are accessible by an ADA compliant elevator. The David Brower Center also offers assisted-listening devices that can be set up for events in the Goldman Theater, Kinzie, and Tamalpais rooms. If you require accommodations, please contact us at [email protected] prior to the event.
